Signozi (“we”, “us”) provides a free tool at signozi.com that inspects the public pages of a website you name and produces a report. This policy explains what information we handle when you use it.
What we collect
- Website addresses and reports. The address you enter and the resulting report (including page text excerpts shown as evidence). Reports are unlisted and are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- A salted hash of your network address. We never store your IP address in the clear for this purpose; the hash is used only to limit how many scans one visitor can start, and is deleted after about two days.
- Email addresses you give us — through the contact form or the waitlist — together with the message or interest you chose. We use them only to reply to you or, for the waitlist, to email you once if the feature is built.
- Standard server logs (network address, browser, requested page, time) kept by our hosting provider and content-delivery network for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
- We do not create accounts, run advertising or analytics trackers, sell personal information, or build profiles of visitors.
- Signozi itself sets no cookies. Our network provider may set strictly necessary security cookies.
- When we inspect a site we only read pages that are publicly available and we identify ourselves as SignoziBot. See SignoziBot.
How we use information
To run the inspection you requested, show you the report, prevent abuse of the free service, answer your messages, and keep the service secure. Our legal basis is providing the service you asked for and our legitimate interest in keeping it available and safe; for the waitlist it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who else sees it
Our infrastructure providers (web hosting and content delivery) process data on our behalf so that the site works. Anyone who has the link to a report can read it, so share links carefully.
Retention
Reports: 30 days. Rate-limit hashes: about 2 days. Contact messages and waitlist emails: until we have answered or acted on them, and no longer than 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to delete a report, a message or your waitlist email at any time, and — depending on where you live — to access, correct or export the information we hold about you. Email us and we will respond. If you own a website and do not want it inspected, you can block SignoziBot in robots.txt.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be shown on this page.
